Privacy Policy
Privacy Matters
Like you, privacy matters to us.
As web users ourselves, we are well aware of privacy issues and are committed to ensuring that the personal details you provide us on our website (www.inizijewellery.com) remain private and confidential. And you will always have full control. You can choose to provide or not provide such details; or, if already provided, you can choose to have them removed at any time.
Thus, we welcome and embrace the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) initiated by the European Union. We have updated our Privacy Policy to more fully reflect the intent and spirit of the GDPR and will continuously review our Privacy Policy disclosures, coverage, standards and procedures to ensure that we are doing all that we can to respect and safeguard the personal information that you have provided us.
Please take a few moments to read this updated Privacy Policy to familiarise yourself with the types of personal details we ask from you; why we need them; what we do with them; how they are safeguarded; and how you can choose to have them removed.
Personal Details We Ask For
Depending on what you are doing at our website, we may ask you to provide us with some or all of the following personal information:
• your name
• your email address
• your mailing address
• your contact number
• your credit card details
Why We Need Your Personal Details
Your name and email address are required if you wish to join our mailing list—to be kept informed of the latest offers, products and general information that might benefit you as a customer.
In addition, we will need your mailing address, contact number and credit card details if you perform a purchase and delivery transaction with us.
What We Do With Your Personal Details
All personal information that we receive from you are stored securely on our database for record, reference and future use. However, financial information—like your credit card details—are not stored on our servers.
For purchase and delivery transactions, all relevant personal information to effect the purchase and delivery will be shared with relevant third-party supporting services. These include payment gateways (in this instance, your credit card details with PayPal) and shipping services (your delivery address with national postal services and independent international parcel delivery services).
We do not use your personal data for any other purpose other than maintaining our own mailing list to send out relevant information (if you subscribe to our mailing list); and to process an order transaction and order fulfilment (if you made a purchase and delivery transaction).
How We Safeguard Your Personal Details
Our website is secure. Your personal details are safeguarded from the time you start providing us with them. Our site uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), a security technology standard to protect online data. All order information sent to www.inizijewellery.com are encrypted. On top of that, we perform multiple security scans.
Another safeguard, and this is really important: We do not sell your personal information to a third party. Neither do we share such information, except for payment and delivery processing; and as required under the law should a legal or law-enforcement situation arise.
Beyond Personal Details
Websites use a variety of technologies to ensure security and to improve service quality. These technologies include tracking by cookies, web beacons, pixels and mobile indentifiers. Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, login data, browser type, location, operating system and other device-specific information may be gathered.
These information are anonymous identifiers and do not include your personal information.
Your Personal Details, Your Rights, Your Choice
You have the right to control what you choose to share with us. To keep things simple and transparent, we will not ask for more information than is necessary for a given action—whether it is subscribing to our mailing list or carrying out a purchase and delivery transaction.
You may decide, at any time, to remove yourself from our mailing list and have your mailing list record removed. Simply click on the “Unsubscribe” link at the bottom of our email; or inform us through our contact form on our website with “Unsubscribe” as the subject header.
For purchase and delivery transactions, your personal information and purchase information will be retained for a period of 10 years to meet statutory requirements as well as to serve as a record for any possible dispute, fraud or law-enforcement issues that may arise.
Where statutory, regulatory and legal requirements are made to us for access to information, we will comply as required under the law.
Together Against Privacy Loss, Fraud and Malice
We take all necessary precautions and implement safeguards to protect your privacy and ensure security against fraud and malicious activity. But it is important to remind everyone that all websites and emails are not 100% safe.
There are a few simple steps you can take that will help you stay safe online:
Browsing the Net
• Be cautious about online transactions on websites that do not have “https” or a lock icon in their urls. The “s” or lock icon stands for secure.
• Look out for inconsistent or suspicious urls. Some hackers can create a visually convincing duplicate of the website but have telltale signs in their urls.
• Many sites, like ours, invite visitors to subscribe and ask for names and emails in a legitimate effort to be in touch with their visitors and customers. But be cautious with those that ask for more details than that. If you are unsure and still want to subscribe, you can safely do so with an alternate email account used only for this purpose.
Using Your Email
• Assign all email from unknown senders to your spam or junk folder
• Do not click on unknown or suspicious links in emails
• When in doubt, don’t click on that link
• Do not give out personal information in response to emails
