How to care for jewellery

Women love their jewellery but may not necessarily know how to care for them. That’s why we include care instructions with every piece of INIZI jewellery we sell. We think it’s important.

Care is needed in wearing, storing and cleaning jewellery. And, really, caring for your jewellery is simple and easy to do.

For instance, jewellery should be worn only after make-up, hair products and perfume have been applied. This is to prevent or minimise chemicals in these products coming into contact with jewellery. Gemstones and metals can be affected by chemicals.

Also, did you know that one of the most effective ways to store sterling silver jewellery is to place them inside airtight resealable plastic bags? One item per bag, of course. Easy, right?

And when it comes to cleaning, less is better. Avoid harsh detergents like the plague. In most cases, just plain water or a very mild soap solution and a clean lint-free cloth are all that’s needed. Yes, it’s simple.
